Q: I recently read a novel by Ian Rankin. I think it was “Resurrection Men”, but I’m not 100 percent sure. In this book the protagonist - an alcoholic police inspector - is asked the following question: “Did you listen to the Mogwai tape I gave you?” His reply: “Yes. I especially liked the lyrics.” I thought it was quite funny. Rankin seems to be a fan of you. In a another novel - “The Falls” - he thanked you for your “Stanley Kubrick” EP that was some kind of inspriation to him. Did he send you a copy of that book? Did you ever talk with him about that?
A: My dad told me about this a while back. He’s got a few things referring to us. Weird and good.
